1939 Studebaker Custom Hauler

Great old picture of the parts hauler for the Firestone Auto Supply and Service stores from El Centro, California. Either during WWII itself or that time frame most likely. Gasoline was 16 cents per gallon!

Of course I couldn’t leave it alone. What would it look like if it was customized by the guys in town to emulate the customs driving around Los Angeles before WWII? Thus made a few mods to the truck with a custom nose and engine lid, lowered, oversized hubcaps, modified bed and of course it was chopped.
